For a long time, the Baldia royal family protected this holy sword. However, Emperor Digos of the Dalsis Empire, harboring ambitions of conquering the continent, gathered a large army and seized Langrisser. Yet, Prince Redin of the Baldia royal family, with the help of many comrades, defeated the Dalsis army. He reclaimed Langrisser and, with the revived dark forces, sealed it once again. And several centuries later... With the Baldia royal family gone and Langrisser a legendary sword, the Regard Empire began its invasion of various parts of the continent. However, behind this, the Dark Prince Böser and the demon sword Alhazard, said to be an opposing force to the holy sword Langrisser, are intertwined. Emperor Bernhardt of the Regard Empire sought to unleash its sealed power and achieve his ambition of continental unification.
