This is a familiar and popular role-playing series. The game was produced under the executive direction of copywriter Shigesato Itoi. The story follows a 12-year-old boy with psychic abilities (SPI) who embarks on a journey to uncover the cause of strange phenomena and protect his mother and sisters, ultimately confronting the alien Giegue. To best enjoy this game, it's recommended to play slowly and with the volume turned up somewhat. On August 9, 1989, the "MOTHER Original Soundtrack," produced by Keiichi Suzuki (MOON RIDERS), was also released.
