This is the later version with a rough cartridge surface. By using a second controller, you can enjoy a glitch that prevents enemy encounters on the map, in caves, and elsewhere. You will not encounter enemies while continuously pressing the A and B buttons on the second controller. Operation on compatible consoles is not guaranteed.
The concluding installment of the Dragon Quest and Roto series. You can gather companions at the tavern in town and freely form your party. Each companion has their own occupation. You can choose occupations and genders, and by repeatedly changing jobs, your characters become more powerful. Other entries in the series include "Dragon Quest II: The Princes of Darkness" and "Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen."
